The ukulele class is structured from the basics to very high levels of performance.
The learning process is based on 8 levels and Debut. The Debut section can be split into Pre-debut and Debut.
Debut
For students who have never played the ukulele and who want to learn the instrument. This stage helps them set the instrument basics.
The debut exam is based on 5 components, technical exercises, solo performance from a given repertoire, discussion, improv or reading, hearing test.
Grade 1
Curriculum designed for those who have been learning the ukulele for a year. They already know the basic skills and techniques.
Grade 1 exams consist of:
Technical exercises – ranges, arpeggios, or study
3 songs selected from a 3-category repertoire
Improv or reading a song for the first time
Grade 2
The student learns more about fundamental study techniques.
Grade 2 exams consist of:
Technical exercises – ranges, arpeggios, or study
3 songs selected from a 3-category repertoire
Improv or reading a song for the first time
Grade 3
The ukulele student has reached their final beginner grade. They have already been playing the ukulele for 2 years, they know the basic techniques and rhythms, and are now starting to discuss style.
Grade 3 exams consist of:
Technical exercises – ranges, arpeggios, or study
3 songs selected from a 3-category repertoire
Improv or reading a song for the first time
Grade 4
Grade 4 is the first intermediate level, the student starts to develop their artistic sense and to learn about expression. New and complex rhythms and techniques, the general level is higher.
Grade 4 exams consist of:

3 songs selected from a 3-category repertoire
Improv or reading a song for the first time
Grade 5
Students have been playing for at least 3 years and can perform mor complex rhythms. They now play with a more expressive and stylish approach.
Grade 5 exams consist of:

3 songs selected from a 3-category repertoire
Improv or reading a song for the first time
Grade 6
The first advanced grade, for students with at least 4 years of experience. The student has mastered rhythms, technique and musical comprehension. Performance starts to be important.

Improv or reading a song for the first time
Grade 7
The player knows how to use more complex rhythms and techniques, proving to have good musical fluency.

Grade 8
At least 5 years experience. All techniques and rhythms have been implemented, likewise style and expression. The student develops a higher level and their personal interpretation.
