Debut

Destined for students getting acquainted with percussion for the first time. The curriculum teaches them basic techniques for musical coordination and understanding.

Exams and are based on based on 4 components, technical exercises, studies, performing songs from a given repertoire, technical questions.

Grade 1

This curriculum is destined for performers with 6-12 months experience. They already know the basic skills and techniques and are ready to learn new techniques.

Grade 1 exams:

Grade 2

Performers with 1-1.5 years of experience. They have deeper knowledge of techniques and abilities and are focused on learning new techniques and more complex rhythms.

Grade 2 exams:

Grade 3

The performer already has a solid foundation and is ready for their final beginner exam. This level introduces fundamental style ideas.

Grade 4

The first intermediate grade. They have already learned all the techniques, they have the skills and basic rhythms, and are ready for more complex information.

Grade 5

The student has at least 3 years experience. They have good technical understanding and a deeper sense of style.

Grade 6

At least 4 years of percussion experience as this is the first advanced grade. The student already owns complex techniques and is starting to rely more on style while adding a personal touch. They start to understand how a song’s forms communicates from a musical standpoint.

Grade 7

5 years of percussion experience and this is the grade that they fluently combine complex techniques and rhythms. They have developed a stylistic sense and deep understanding of musical forms and structures.

Grade 8

At least 6 years of experience and mastery of grade 7. They have good style and perform independently.
